Rising Stella Star Amari Skyy Toomer

Amari Skyy Toomer is the daughter of Telka Bell Toomer and Rodney Toomer. She graduated Valedictorian from Mattie T Blount High School, with a GPA of 4.49. She has been awarded $1 million in scholarships and has received acceptance letters from 43 colleges. Amari was actively involved in various activities, including being a member of the Lady Leopards volleyball and basketball teams. In 2021, she was voted as Miss Sophomore by her peers, and in 2023, she was crowned Prom Princess. After graduating, she has made the decision to attend the University of Alabama, where she will study Pre Med Biology with the goal of becoming a radiologist.

Amari is also a member of several prestigious organizations, such as the National Honor Society, FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America), HCAP (Healthcare Access and Promotion), where she is a Certified Nursing Assistant, and a Student Ambassador. Additionally, she participates in dual enrollment at Bishop State Community College and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Furthermore, Amari is a member of the Disrupshun Service Organization, National Society of High School Scholars, and has been nominated for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence as well as the National Technical Honor Society. She has also been involved in community programs like Delta Gems, Belle for Jack & Jill of Americas LeBeautillion Militaire, and The Prichard Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Boutillion.
Amari's accomplishments extend beyond academics and extracurriculars. She currently holds the title of Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association's Junior Monarch Queen for 2024.
